At ODENSE Group, we are aware of the way our business affects society and are committed to contributing to a better future through product development and continuous improvements. Our principles are rooted in respect for people and the environment, and in creating value both for our company and for the communities around us. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of how we work, covering food and product safety, responsible purchasing, environmental care, and social engagement.

Environment
Reducing our footprint, protecting the future.
We work systematically to lower CO2 emissions, reduce food waste, and minimize our consumption of water and energy. All electricity used in the Odense Group is covered by a Certificate of Origin, ensuring that our energy comes from renewable sources such as hydropower.
In our production, we have introduced heat recovery systems and implemented measures to use raw materials more efficiently. Almonds, apricot kernels, and other materials that cannot be reused in production are passed on for animal feed, helping us reduce waste even further. Through continuous improvements, we aim to make better use of every resource while lowering our environmental footprint year by year.
People and society
Creating value for people, inside and outside our company.
At Odense Group, we want to be more than a workplace - we want to be a safe, respectful, and inspiring environment where employees can grow and thrive. We focus on equal opportunities, employee development, and involvement, supported by annual employee interviews and the implementation of Orkla’s certified environmental, health, and safety standard (OEHSS) at our factories.
To promote well-being, we have established health ambassador groups that work actively with initiatives around health, safety, and a positive work culture. Our goal is simple but ambitious: few sick-days and no accidents at work.
Beyond our factories, we also engage with the local community. In collaboration with Jobcenter Odense, we run a business center that helps unemployed citizens return to the labor market through internships and job clarification courses. Supported by trained mentors, participants receive both professional and social guidance during their stay, underlining our commitment to taking responsibility in society.
